Below is our guide for prioritizing your Destruction Warlock abilities optimally. This should help give you a basic understanding of what to do and what's most important to focus on. Keep in mind that simply following this (or any other) rotation guide will not guarantee you to be amazing at DPS. How aggressively you execute the rotation, how fast and intelligently you react in encounters, your FPS, latency, etc. play a large part in the end-result of your performance. We encourage you to really focus on those things and perfect this rotation if you're very performance-focused.
Soul Leech is a passive ability that grants you and your demon for all single-target damage you do a shield that equals 13% 8% of the damage dealt and can go up to 20% 10% of our maximal health. Demon Skin passively recharges your Soul Leech shield by 1%.5% every second, and increases its damage cap from 15% to 20% 10% to 15%. Jan 20, 2019 Affliction’s AoE, and I’m talking AoE, not multidot, is in the trash can outside of our major cooldown. We get decent-to-great AoE every 3 minutes, based on the size of the pulls. The spec does good single target, it’s true.

With 2-3 targets, maintain the single target rotation while keeping Immolate on all targets and Havoc on a secondary target.
At 4+ targets, continue to maintain Immolate on as many targets as possible while casting Conflagrate to generate Soul Shards. Spend your Soul Shards on Rain Of Fire.
These are effective cooldowns to try and incorporate in each encounter.
- Summon Infernal Use as often as possible for burst damage.
- Dark Soul Instability Use as often as possible for additional damage (if selected).
